Get the Look: Meghan Markle's Semi-Affordable Wedding Look
For most of us, wedding season has ended, but there are some who will have the displeasure of attending a wedding in August or early-September. Muggy weather is sure to be a factor, but that doesn't mean all the style has to melt away. Just take a look at Meghan Markle, the newly crowned Duchess of York, who recently attended the wedding for her new husband Prince Harry's best friend, wearing an affordable frock in a sweat-concealing color.
Not one to outshine the bride and groom on their day, the former actor chose the low-profile "Shoanah" dress from Club Monaco. What's most shocking is the $328 price tag because Markle has a one-million dollar wardrobe. The shirtdress features navy, forest, pink, and white color-blocking on its pleated skirt.
However, Markle's designer accessories would certainly break the wallet of plebeian. She carried a Kayu "Anna" basketweave clutch in navy. On her feet were Aquazurra "Deneuve" slingbacks. And she topped off the entire look with a custom fascinator by Philip Treacy, a favorite amongst the royals.
The wedding was on Aug. 4th, which is also Markle's birthday. She turned 37. This may be the last time we see the newlyweds for a while. Worried about the media's "hysteria," Prince Harry and his wife are planning to take a step back from public life and will reportedly be absent from any official royal events until at least September.
