‘John Lewis: Good Trouble’ Will Arrive on DVD and Digital Soon
Magnolia Home Entertainment and Participant will release filmmaker Dawn Porter’s John Lewis: Good Trouble documentary on DVD and Digital on Sept. 29th.
Porter uses rare archival footage and new interviews with the late U.S. Rep. John Lewis to tell his story from childhood to his legislative career. Of course, his social activism takes center stage and gives viewers an intimate look into Lewis’s inspiring family and fateful meeting with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1957. Lewis was an exemplar in the fight for civil rights, voting rights, gun control, health care reform, and immigration. The documentary shows what can be accomplished when a person gets into “good trouble.”
John Lewis: Good Trouble will be available on DVD for $26.98, and will stream digitally on Apple TV, Google Play, Prime Video, FandangoNOW, and other platforms.
The special features include extended interviews with Elijah Cummings, Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, and The Squad. In addition, viewers can watch Sarah Lewis, an associate professor of history of art and architecture and African and African American studies at Harvard University, interview John Lewis. There’s also a Q&A with Oprah Winfrey and John Lewis. In addition, there are additional scenes focusing on an airport exhibit and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice.
