On July 6, 2001, 10-year-old Tionda and 3-year-old Diamond Bradley seemingly vanished without a trace from their Chicago apartment, sparking an unsettling mystery that remains unsolved. However, the two-hour season premiere of Disappeared, ID’s groundbreaking missing persons series, promises that a shocking admission from a close relative will change the trajectory of the investigation.
Disappeared: The Bradley Sisters, which premieres on August 20 at 10/9c, will begin right before the girls disappear and will examine the twists and turns that have left family members, investigators, and the community at large without definitive answers for 22 years. During the episode, Retired Chicago PD Detective Pamela Childs will take viewers and couch sleuths through the critical theories, clues, and evidence in the sisters’ disappearance from their home in the Bronzeville neighborhood. The documentary episode will also include never-before-seen interviews, as Disappeared gained unprecedented access to the Bradleys, including Tionda and Diamond’s mother Tracey. The special concludes with “a shocking admission from a key member of the family, rocking the investigation to its core.”
The family recently gathered together on the anniversary of the disappearance. “It’s been very hard, stressful and for this to come up, it really put a dent in it a little bit,” Tracey Bradley told Fox 32 Chicago in reference to a Houston woman who claimed to be Diamond Bradley in May.
Viewers interested in learning more about the case should also listen to the Disappeared: The Bradley Sisters eight-episode companion podcast. Two episodes will be available immediately after the season premiere on the Disappeared feed on Apple and Spotify.
Hopefully, this season of Disappeared will bring forth the truth the Bradley sisters’ family and the families of the missing persons deserve.
