Fabolous, whose real name is John Jackson, was charged with four felonies stemming from an alleged March 7th assault of his children’s mother and former fiancé, Emily "Emily B" Bustamente.

A New Jersey grand jury charged the Brooklyn rapper last week with one count of domestic violence with significant bodily injury, two counts of threatening to kill, and one count of possession of a weapon, a pair of scissors that he brandished during the incident that was caught on video.

Back in March, TMZ posted video of the alleged assault. In the video, Fabolous confronted Bustamente and her father in the driveway of their Englewood, NJ home. He also threatened to murder her and her relatives.

According to reports, Fabolous allegedly punched Bustamente in the face seven times, knocking out her two front teeth.

After the video was published, a lawyer for Fab said the incident was just an argument and denied that his client had committed a crime.

But a grand jury saw differently. All four charges are for third-degree crimes, with each carrying up to five years in prison.

Fabolous and Bustamente began dating in the early-2000s. They welcomed their first son, Johan Jackson, in 2008. Their other son, Jonas Jackson, was born in 2015. She has an 18-year-old daughter, Taina, from a previous relationship. You may recognize Bustamente from her one-season stint on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop.

Judging from the family photo above, that was taken in late-August, Fabolous and Bustamente have already reconciled.
