With the fact that small businesses owned by Black women and women of color have been hit particularly hard by the pandemic in mind, Caress and IFundWomen of Color have joined forces to offer these female entrepreneurs a one-day conference, the Caress and IFundWomen of Color Virtual Summit, on March 18, 2021. All Black women and WOC small business owners are welcome to attend.
Caress and IFundWomen of Color know how important coaching, mentorship, networking, and funding are to realizing entrepreneurial dreams. So they teamed up to create a “go-to funding resource for diverse, early-stage entrepreneurs,” according to the website. IFundWomen of Color aims to make the small business world more inclusive by helping Black women and WOC generate capital through crowdfunding and grants. The resource also provides coaching and connections so these women can not only launch their businesses, but also remain successful.
The Caress and IFundWomen of Color Virtual Summit will feature a dynamic line-up of leaders, including Esi Eggleston Bracey, EVP & COO NA Beauty and Personal Care, Unilever; Olivia Owens, creator and general manager of IFundWomen of Color; and featured IFundWomen of Color panelists. They’ll take a deep-dive into the obstacles and triumphs associated with being a WOC or Black woman business owner. These brilliant WOC leaders and entrepreneurs will also unveil new research about the state of women of color small business owners.
