On Sunday, Oct. 28th, Tyler Perry’s latest film, Nobody’s Fool, premiered in New York City. The comedy is Perry’s first R-rating.
Film stars Whoopi Goldberg, Tika Sumpter, Omari Hardwick, and Tiffany Haddish attended the screening with the director. Notables Cicely Tyson and Rev. Al Sharpton also attended the world premiere of Nobody’s Fool.
Sumpter tapped designer Zac Posen for a golden mustard-colored gown with a mermaid silhouette. Haddish opted for a maroon, emerald, and navy color-blocked, one-shoulder jumpsuit. Goldberg dressed in red plaid pants and a velvet Edwardian-style jacket. Hardwick looked refined in a grey suit, whereas Perry went for a bad boy-edge with a black motorcycle jacket and boots and black jeans.
Nobody’s Fool opens in theaters this Friday, Nov. 2nd. It focuses on wild child Tanya (Haddish) who is trying to get back on her feet and “looks to her buttoned-up, by the book sister Danica (Sumpter) to help her get back on track. As these polar opposites collide — with hilarious and sometimes disastrous results — Tanya discovers that Danica’s picture-perfect life — including her mysterious boyfriend — may not be what it seems.” Perry executive produced, wrote, and directed the Paramount Pictures film.
