"On Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, I will be part of making a real impact on a family’s future," said Anthony Anderson in press materials. "The joy of working alongside people in the community to help a family get a fresh start in their new home is extraordinary."

Anderson has joined the lineup of special guests appearing in HGTV’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition reboot.

The actor and producer and series host Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who also stars on ABC sitcom Modern Family, will work with volunteers and the show’s designers Breegan Jane, Carrie Locklyn, and Darren Keefe to execute a life-changing home transformation for a deserving family.

Anderson is no stranger to the Discovery family, as he’s the host of Carnival Cravings and has appeared on Chopped and Iron Chef America on sister channel, Food Network.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is scheduled to premiere in early 2020. HGTV will announce more guest stars throughout production. Expect “great stories, inspired volunteers and stunning home renovations for families who give back to their communities. The whole-home overhauls will include interior, exterior, and landscaping—all completed in record time while the family is sent away,” according to the press release.
