Iconic 1990s R&B group En Vogue is headlining this year’s Famously Hot New Year concert on Dec. 31st in Columbia, SC, and it’s free for all to attend!

The top 5 highest-selling female American music group will perform a full-length concert next to the historic South Carolina State House on Main Street. Their hit singles include “Hold On,” “Free Your Mind,” “Never Gonna Get It,” and “Whatta Man,” which features rap group Salt N Pepa. (How cool would it be if Salt N Pepa made a cameo at Famously Hot New Year?!)

Even though En Vogue is now a trio, instead of a foursome, they’ve still got it. I saw them perform in February during New York Fashion Week, and they took me back to the ‘90s. Their voices, dance moves, and style have only gotten better with time, so this is a show you won’t want to miss.

In addition, Columbia's New Orleans-inspired jazz and brass group Soda City Brass Band and Charleston’s indie hip-hop group Little Stranger will also take the Famously Hot New Year stage.

Following the concert, the thousands of attendees will be delighted by the biggest New Year’s Eve fireworks display in South Carolina.

“We are beyond thrilled to bring together community members and visitors alike for such a wonderful, time-honored event,” said Hamilton Grant, co-chair of Famously Hot New Year, in press materials. “The talent this year is exceptional, and I am confident that this year will be one to beat.”
