While most children his age were boarding buses to sleep-away camp, 12-year-old Jarell Milton embarked on a different journey. Milton allegedly went on the run following an alleged botched drug deal turned robbery turned murder. After a week on the lam, police found Milton hundred of miles away from where the crime was allegedly committed.
Milton was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Jamymell Ray, 31, who died on June 29th in Omaha, NE. A second man, 30-year-old Charles Fisher, was shot and injured.
Police had already arrested and charged Milton’s suspected accomplices, his 17-year-old Jamar Milton and 15-year-old Shuntayvious Primes-Willis, when they located the baby-faced preteen.
Authorities caught Jarell in Minneapolis, and are expected to begin proceedings to have him sent back to Omaha.
