Guess who’s curating the music for one of the world’s best video game franchises? None other than the award-winning Pharrell Williams.
On Tuesday, 2K Sports announced that the NBA 2K15 soundtrack will feature 27 songs from popular artists, including the “Happy” singer himself. Following Jay Z, the executive producer of 2012’s iteration of the video game, Williams is the second music performer to choose songs for the video game. LeBron James chose the songs for the 2013 soundtrack.
The installment includes an “eclectic mix.” “It was fun to include songs that I have always loved, like Strafe‘s “Set it Off” or Tribe Called Quest’s “Scenario,” Williams said. Williams will include songs by Lauryn Hill, The Black Keys, Missy Elliott, One Republic, and many more.
