A Japanese teen has been arrested on charges of killing and dismembering her classmate. The 16-year-old unnamed suspect admitted to beating and strangling 15-year-old Aiwa Matsuko. Japanese police found the decapitated head, dismembered hand, and corpse, along with various tools in the suspect’s apartment.
Police went to the 16 year old’s apartment in the small town of Sasebo and found her bedroom covered in blood with her friend Matsuko lying on the bed. According to police, the suspect struck Matsuko on the back of the head more than 10 times with a blunt object, and strangled her while she was unconscious. The 16 year old, then, cut off Matsuko’s head and left hand with a large knife.
Matsuko’s parents had contacted police after their daughter had not returned home Saturday night. She had sent them a message earlier in the day saying she was going to visit her friend. Matsuko later sent a text message saying she was about to head home.
