DreamWorks Animation has named Brenda Freeman as their new head of television marketing.
Freeman has most recently been the chief marketing officer for Turner, where her duties included marketing strategy for Cartoon Network. She has also worked as the VP of integrated marketing and promotions for Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group.
“Brenda’s vast experience in the branding, marketing and distribution of family and kids programming will be invaluable as we continue to grow our television division,” said DreamWorks Animation CMO Dawn Taubin. “We are thrilled to have such a veteran of the industry join our team.”
Freeman will certainly be busy at DreamWorks Animation. The studio is currently producing over 1,100 episodes of original programming for Netflix and other networks in Germany, Italy and Spain.
