The Beyonce train shows no signs of stopping with the singer’s fifth studio album, entitled “Beyonce” selling over 600,000 copies in the US alone through worldwide retailer iTunes.
After releasing the album, available here smarturl.it/beyoncevisualalbum, along with its accompanying 17 video anthology at midnight Friday, word of mouth and the internet caused an avalanche of interest in the project which generated over 1.2 million tweets in 12 hours and sold over 800,000 copies from December 13 to December 16.
Beyonce, who begins part two of her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” early next year, will release her first two singles, 70’s inspired funk track “Blow,” produced by Pharrell, and “Drunk In Love” featuring husband, Jay Z to radio this week.
