Today’s get rich quick reality TV show culture was not lost upon Michelle Obama. “You have to have education to be in entertainment,” she said. “If you don’t know how to read or count you can’t check up on your accountant or lawyer.” She tells her daughters that she doesn’t want them “up under” her, but to explore the world while becoming educated women.
Before leaving the show, she left the audience with advice.
“You have to practice being who you want to be everyday.”
If only Mellie from “Scandal” was this cool.
