Oprah, the media mogul behind OWN, is auctioning off her things for charity. Oprah doesn’t just believe in spring cleaning, but she’s also proven that every moment is a moment to declutter your life.
On the flip side, Oprah’s auction is your chance to add some of Oprah’s clutter to your life. The auction brochure is 29 pages, but considering that Oprah owns homes in Chicago, Indiana, Santa Barbara, and Hawaii, I’m sure she can spare a few items.
E! Online is giving a sneak peek into some of the weirdest items up for auction. How would you like to own a life-size portrait of O or ride on her Vespa? Oprah is even giving up some rare collectibles from Alice Walker‘s Color Purple and The Women of Brewster Place. There are, also, some artifacts of prehistoric creatures and even a painting of a dead fish.
“The Oprah Winfrey Collection” auction will be held in Santa Barbara Saturday, November 2nd, 10 a.m. Pacific Time. All proceeds from the sales will benefit the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation College Fund. The college fund helps young women in South Africa receive higher education.
