That was the lesson an unidentified Georgia man would have learned if he hadn’t been mortally wounded, while allegedly trying to rob a group of people waiting in line to buy the new $180 Nike LeBron X EXT sneakers.
Witnesses say one man waiting outside Wish, a clothing store in Little Five Points, pulled out a gun and shot the would-be robber, and then returned to his place in line.
Police haven’t charged the unidentified shooter and now consider the shooting to be self-defense. At least one other sneaker enthusiast who was also waiting in line is heralding the shooter as a hero:
“He [the shooter] really stood up for all of us,” said Taylor White to Atlanta Channel 2. “I salute the homie that did that.”
