As an interior designer, I am constantly on the hunt for inspiration and there is no limit to where I find it. A love of travel, fine art, music, and a “mild” obsession with fashion, all inform my designs. My approach centers on starting with an inspirational object and building a design from there. Here, I’m going to walk you through that process using this exquisite cobalt blue dress as my staring point.
Considering the delicately tailored, curvilinear shape of this dress, I searched for items with clean lines, feminine details, and structured elegance. But the real show-stopper is its bold color, which can easily be achieved by infusing pops of jewel-tones in a space. The end result is a room that boasts classic elements and a colorful flair.
