- Lenny Kravitz is opening up the conversation of race in his new documentary Looking Back on Love, which follows the recording process of his 2011 album Black and White America. In the film, the 48-year-old rockstar details his family and personal life while growing up in an interracial household. “For me, it’s about my life. It’s about what I grew up in, what I know, what I feel comfortable in, the juxtaposition between the two,” he says in an exclusive clip. “It’s also where we are today.” The film is available for purchase on iTunes.
- Justin Timberlake will be looking quite dapper in his suit and tie as he takes the stage at the 55th annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 10. The six-time winner is the newest artist to headline the night, along with Rihanna, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Dierks Bently, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, the Black Keys, Fun., the Lumineers, Mumford & Sons and Jack White. We’re sure music’s biggest night has more surprises to offer, so be sure to tune in as LL Cool J hosts the 2013 show Sunday, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
- Rapper Rick Ross has increased his security following his involvement in a drive-by shooting on Monday. According to TMZ, Mr. MMG has hired 24-hour armed security for protection at concerts, major events and…well…everywhere. Ross says that while he’s been receiving threats for a while, he never took them seriously. But his recent brush with death has been an “eye-opener.”
