A five-year-old girl taken from her west Philadelphia school on Monday was found safe just outside of the city Tuesday morning, police say.
Nailla Robinson was led away by an unknown woman who claimed to be her mother at approximately 8:50 a.m. the previous morning. Police say the woman, wearing Muslim garb, introduced herself as “Tiffany,” but her signature in the school visitor log was illegible.
An amber alert was issue after Robinson was discovered missing at around 3 p.m. when her caretaker came to pick her up from an after-school program.
Wearing only a t-shirt, Robinson was found on a local playground early Monday by a man walking down the street who heard the young girl crying. She was quickly taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for evaluation, but is said to be OK.
The investigation is still continuing.
