“12-12-12: A Concert for Sandy Relief” will bring together the talents of Bon Jovi, Alicia Keys, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Kanye West, Chris Martin, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters and The Who.
Tonight’s event takes place at Madison Square Garden and will be broadcast live to nearly 2 billion people around the world.
“I can tell you that the show will start with one of the world’s greatest artists and will end with one of the world’s greatest artists,” joked producer John Sykes. “And in between, there will be a lot of great artists, too.”
Leonardo DiCaprio, Jake Gyllenhaal, Kristen Stewart and other celebrities are expected to tell the stories of those individuals affected by the superstorm. They will also ask for donations throughout the show for the Robin Hood Foundation Relief Fund, which has already raised $30 million.
