It only takes a second … a moment to fall off track. We must realize that even our follies and missteps are a part of the universe’s design. Sometimes we fall off track in order to appreciate being on track.
What is on track? That is different for each of us. When I am on track, I am eating healthy balanced meals, doing yoga, meditating daily, writing regularly, and spending quality time with family and friends. I have a healthy routine that heightens my quality of life.
Unfortunately, it does not take much to throw me off course. A piece of junk food, an argument with a loved one, or a change in schedule can do me in. It is not only the act that affects me, it is my judgements about the act. Judgement is the factor that keeps me off course.
This junction is where self-forgiveness plays a large role. We must forgive ourselves in order to move on and get back on track. For example, I forgive myself for judging myself as not healthy. The truth is that I am perfect in God’s eyes.
