“I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me,” Lozada told TMZ. “It is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well.”
On Saturday, Johnson was arrested after allegedly headbutting Lozada during an intense argument, leaving a 3-inch cut on her forehead. Lozada claims the altercation occurred after she confronted Johnson about a receipt for a box of condoms.
Johnson was arrested and charged with simple domestic battery, but was released early Sunday morning on $2,500 bond. Shortly after, the Miami Dolphins dismissed the 34-year-old NFL star from the team.
In a tragic turn of events, Lozada is also mourning the death of her brother-in-law Anthony Ochoa who lost his battle with cancer Monday night.
Ochoa appeared on several episodes of VH1’s hit reality show Basketball Wives and was also reportedly featured in Lozada and Johnson’s spinoff Ev and Ocho, before it was dropped from the network.

“Anthony was an amazing husband, father, and brother-in-law. He will be dearly missed,” Lozada said in a statement.
Ochoa was 43.
