Kile Glover, 11, the son of Tameka Raymond and entertainment executive Ryan Glover and stepson of Usher Raymond, was pronounced brain dead after he and a 15-year-old female friend collided with a jet ski at Georgia’s Lake Lanier.
While enjoying the water and weather in inner tubes at the lake, a jet ski struck the young pair, knocking Kile unconscious and causing several injuries to his friend. The two children were air lifted to the Children’s Healthcare at Egelston Hospital in Atlanta.
The cause of the accident has yet to be discovered, and officials have only been able to rule out alcohol as a factor. However, based on the outcome of the investigation the parents may be able to press charges.
As many of us know, Usher and ex-wife Tameka have been going through a difficult custody battle involving their two sons, Usher Raymond and Naviyd. Nevertheless, Usher sent a private jet to bring Tameka to her son. The former couple has not had any words for the public, understandably, but other entertainers and celebrities, such as singers Fantasia and Chris Brown, have called for fans and friends to pray for the family and the hurt children, via various social media networks:
“Praying that Usher and Tameka’s son is ok [sic] …” — Russell Simmons, via Twitter
“Everyone PLEASE pray for Usher and Tameka’s son! This is the time they really need your prayers,” — Fantasia, via Twitter
“Praying for Usher Raymond and his Family! — Chris Brown, via Facebook
There also has not been any word on whether the family will keep Kile on life support, so for now members of the media, including us, and fans are sending many prayers and support to the Raymond/Foster/Glover family.
