The most shocking part of the last installment in the Basketball Wives reunion special was the on-air reconciliation between Jennifer and Evelyn. All it took was a lie detector test and John Salley physically pushing the two ladies together.
Evelyn turned on the waterworks and it was a wrap. I will say this, though, anytime Jennifer cries, it’s genuine. Though I wonder if their beef was just for the cameras – they both seemed all too willing to reconcile. After the things that were done and said, it seemed to happen too quickly. Now I’m questioning the legitimacy of their beef in the first place.
I was also disappointed the issues between Royce Reed and Tami Roman weren’t hashed out. Theirs was my favorite friendship of the show. Is it in limbo? Is Tami still saying, “Fuck Royce?†Since Shaunie confirmed that there would be a fifth season of Basketball Wives, I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
When John Salley brought up the altercation between Kesha Nichols and Tami again – something didn’t seem right. If Suzie Ketcham hadn’t told Tam what Kesha said, then who did? It wasn’t Royce, so who was it? By way of deduction, if Suzie didn’t tell Tami directly, then she had to tell someone who then blabbed to Tami. Come to think of it, isn’t that how Tami found out Meeka Claxton was talking about her? Suzie told Evelyn, then they told Tami together, and then Meeka got popped.
Understanding semantics and technicalities got Suzie out of the doghouse with Evelyn and some of the other women on seasons past. Suzie’s tone and bold lie of denying she said anything to Tami was, no doubt, a result of the fact that she knew Kesha was probably the one person on the stage that wouldn’t pop her.
