Usher‘s upcoming show at Hammersmith Apollo in London will feature digital dancers to back up his every move, one pixel at at a time. The concert is part of the American Express Unstaged series that partners recording artists with high-profile directors.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the June 11 show will be streamed online via Usher’s VEVO channel and viewers will get a chance to interact during his performance of the song “Scream.”
“Literally, people will be able to create their own avatar and have it dance on the screen with Usher,” said Hamish Hamilton, director of the concert webcast.
The 33-year-old crooner added, “I am excited to introduce my new album with a worldwide performance in such an innovative way. It’s very exciting to interact with my fans from a global stage through American Express Unstaged’s live stream.”
Usher’s seventh studio album, Looking 4 Myself, will hit shelves the very next day (June 12) with 14 new tracks that include his No. 1 hit single “Climax.”
