The 42-year-old rapper will be performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7, which marks the first time a solo hip-hop artist will headline at the historic venue.
To fundraise for the United Way of New York City and his Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, Jay-Z is auctioning off front row tickets and premium box seats. The package also includes a meet and great with the business mogul and entrance to the after party at his 40/40 club. The money will assist students from low-income families.
Bidding for the front row tickets stands at $15,000 and is expected to close at $20,000, while the box seat have a current bid of $18,000 and are estimated to reach $50,000.
“It’s every artists dream to play a venue as legendary as Carnegie Hall,” Jay-Z said at a press conference in December. “The fact that I can use the arts and my talent to benefit the education of the next generation of artists, entrepreneurs, and great thinkers makes for a legendary night.”
