In the midst of the NBA lockout, players are itching to get back on the court. Luckily for them President Obama has enlisted the help of nearly two dozen players in an upcoming fundraiser for his re-election.
Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Ray Allen, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant and other top NBA players have been drafted to participate in the “Obama Classic Basketball Game” on Dec. 12 in Washington.
The game is being planned as a fundraising All-Star game for the Obama campaign.
According to the Associated Press, tickets will start at an affordable $100 but will run up to $5,000 for courtside seats. The money will go directly to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising account by the Democratic Party and Obama’s re-election campaign.
It is not clear if Obama will participate in the game, but how awesome would that be?
