To create is to mirror the masterpiece that is God. It is the understanding between the creator and the created of their mutual ability to transform energy into various forms by will. There is no purpose in creation other than to create. We have pressures to create for money, beauty and even destruction (weapons). But what happened to our childlike abandon to create just for the heck of it?
The Creator always wills for its creation to grow mightier than its source. As I mentioned in an earlier article, a loving mother wants more for her daughter than what she has, so why would it differ with the Divine Creator. We are sons and daughters of the universe. We perceive the Creator as larger than life, yet the Divine would want us to know His secrets.
The puzzle pieces of life come together in divine order. We are presented with the piece that brings clarity to a portion of the picture, yet brings new images for us to question and anticipate the following pieces. Is our work never done? Will we ever see the whole picture? Before we opened the puzzle box of life, we saw the finished result on the cover. Yet, somewhere in the confusion of the pieces, we forgot what the finished image looked like. If we could just find the divine box and use it as a reference to put the pieces together, many of our frustrations would subside.
Like the puzzle, life is merely a game—a game for us to rediscover the joy of life. Yet, as with every game, sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. For how would we know the sweet feeling of victory if we never discovered the pain of a loss?
Create. Especially in the face of adversity, create.
